Character is unchanging? So what? You're saying I'm stuck like this for the rest of my life? Well, that makes me want to give up immediately. This must be hopeless then. Why do I even bother writing it out? What's left to say?

I think it is the fight that defines us.

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, "My son, the battle is between two wolves inside us all. One is Evil. It is anger, envy, regret, hate, lies, greed, impudence, self-pity, guilt, resentment, false pride, inferiority, superiority, and ego.

"The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, "Which wolf wins?"

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

I have read this before. I thought it might be nice to hold on to this and come back to it from time to time.
